1) Gurmar or Meshshringi (Gymnyma sylvestreae)

How to use Gurmar:
- Gurma Churn:
Crush ½ – 1 teaspoon of gurmar (meshshringi). Swallow with water after lunch and dinner.

Take 4 teaspoons of gurmar dust in 1 cup of water.
Boil it down to 1/2 cup
Add the same amount of water to it and drink it once a day before meals.

6) NEEM (Azadirachta indica)

7) BHUIAMLA (Phyllanthus amarus)
Phyllanthus amarus is a medicinal plant known as a hypoglycemic factor in central and southern India. Oral administration of extract from the leaves (400 mg/kg/BW) for 45 days caused a significant reduction in blood glucose levels. Also, there was a reduction in glucose-6-phosphatase and fructose 1, 6 di phosphatase activities in the liver.

8) TULSI (Ocimum sanctum)
The leaves of this plant are traditionally used in treating diabetes. Consuming the plant leaf. For this reason, the hypoglycemic activity of the plant is believed to be related to the adjustment of the cellular antioxidant system Tulsi is packed with many anti-inflammatory properties which makes it beneficial to manage diabetes-related ailments such as obesity. According to various studies, consuming Tulsi may help improve pancreatic beta-cell function and insulin secretion.
Dose:
1-3 ml of the drug in juice (extract)form.
Concoction: Take a cup of water add 2-3 basil leaves to it and bring it a boil. Let it kept for about 2-3 minutes.
1-2 g of the drug in powder form (seed).
9) Bhringaraj (Eclipta alba)
Eclipta Alba is an herbaceous plant found in the tropical and subtropical regions of South America, Asia, and Africa. Many chemical compounds, including flavonoids, alkaloids, tryterpens, and other glycosides, have been purified from this plant. It is considered to be an important hypoglycemic agent in rural areas of southern India. Oral administration of leaf suspension of E. alba caused a significant reduction in blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, glucose-6-phosphatase, and fructose- however the hexokinase concentrations in the liver increased.
Dose: Leaf extract 5-10 ml Twice daily before meal.
12) KALMEGH (Andrographis paniculata)
Andrographis paniculata is an annual herb and widely cultivated in Southeast Asian countries for its medicinal use. In recent investigations, A. paniculata was found to be effective against Type 1 diabetes mellitus & Type 2 DM.
Kalmegh might be good for diabetics as it is effective in lowering blood sugar levels by increasing insulin secretion.
Having it after taking food twice a day is highly beneficial. The addition of honey masks its bitter taste and makes it palatable.
Recommended Dosage: 1 or 2 teaspoonfuls before food, 3 times a day.
